With the MetaTrader connector*, you can use real-time market data from your MT4 client terminal in the Smart Forex Tester. Both to forward test your strategy and trade with it.
The connector is a special proxy EA. When deployed onto an MT chart, the connector starts sending all the incoming ticks into the Smart Forex Tester.
The Tester generates market timing signals based on received ticks. The ticks are also available to the trading strategy running in the Tester.
The strategy can respond to each tick with a trading command, which will be executed by the MT connector the way any EA does it.
As the Tester and the MT connector both run on the same computer, the communication delay is just a small fraction of the time between the consecutive ticks.
So, the trading commands are sent from the Tester to the MT with the minimum delay, not exceeding normally 1 tick.
MT connector can be deployed not only on the Forex charts but also supports other symbols lie e.g. XAUUSD. However, for some instruments, pip value calculation might need to be added. Contact us directly for this.
